Translate Duplicates

It is important to maintain a high level of consistency while localizing an application, especially when it comes to translating the matching terms of the text resources. To translate the matching terms consistently and speed up the translation process, you can use the Translate duplicates function. This function automatically duplicates translation of the matching terms for the appropriate entries in the target elements column.

For example, if a text resource contains more than one element with a single word "cancel", you can speed up the translation process by translating one of the elements into Chinese as "qu xiao" and using the Translate duplicates function. This function automatically sets translation "qu xiao" for all the matches.

To select this function, right-click the appropriate resource in the Navigation panel. In the shortcut menu, point to Tools and then click Translate Duplicates. You can also select Translate duplicates in the Tools menu of the main toolbar.
