Manual for Translator

Open self-extracting installation package to install Lingobit Localizer Translator Edition alongside with translation project. After installation, click Lingobit Localizer – Your Project Name from Start > All Programs > Lingobit Localizer to open your translation project.

You can edit translations in a grid. Use navigation tree at the left to browse project elements. Click on the dialog or form to display Visual Editor, where you can adjust control’s size for translated text.


At the bottom you can use Text Editor to edit long strings. Statistics helps you track translation progress.

Launch Validation to automatically check for common localization errors, such as duplicate shortcuts within a menu. At any moment you could run the localized application (Options\Run Localized) to check how it looks after translation.
After you finish translating application, save changes to the project file and send this file to your localization manager.

Q: Why all characters look like squares?
A: You can change Lingobit user interface font from Tool\Options

Q: How can I import translations from CAT tool?
A: Use Translation Memory Import/Export to exchange data with other CAT tools, glossaries and translation memories.

Q: Is there any easy way to find translation, causing crash of application?
A: If application crashed, you can easily detect harmful translation with Crash Finder.
