If your application does not support Unicode you can experience problems with displaying translated symbols. In that case you have to change default encoding settings for non-unicode application in Control panel\Regional settings to match target language of translation. But it is highly recommended to add support of Unicode if you really want to create multilingual application.
Besides, in some cases you have to install new fonts for correct displaying of several eastern languages.
