By installing, activating, or using the software, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to this Agreement, you must not install, activate, or use the software, and you must remove it from your storage devices. This Agreement is intended for business and professional use. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law remain unaffected. COPYRIGHT AND OWNERSHIP This software is copyrighted 2009-2026 by Lingobit Technologies. The use and copyright of this software are governed by applicable copyright laws and international copyright treaties. Lingobit Technologies retains full title and rights to the software and documentation. The license granted to you does not transfer ownership of the software or any intellectual property rights in the software. You must not redistribute, publish, transfer, or disclose license keys, activation codes, registration codes, or other license credentials provided to you, whether on paper, electronically, or in any other form. EVALUATION VERSION Lingobit Extractor is not free software. You may use the evaluation version for evaluation purposes without charge for 30 days. After the evaluation period expires, you must either purchase an appropriate license or stop using the software and remove it from your storage devices. Continued use after the evaluation period without an appropriate license is not permitted. REGISTERED LICENSED VERSION SINGLE-USER LICENSE A Single-User License is granted to one named user. The named user may install and activate Lingobit Extractor on up to two computers used personally by that user, for example a desktop and a laptop. A Single-User License may not be shared with other users and may not be used as a team-wide, department-wide, company-wide, floating, or shared-user license. EXTRACTOR MULTI-USER LICENSE An Extractor Multi-User License may be used by employees and contractors of one legal organization for that organization's software internationalization, localization preparation, and related source-code processing projects, according to the license terms purchased. The Extractor Multi-User License may be used by multiple users within the licensed organization and may be installed on shared workstations, network servers, or other systems used by that organization within the scope of the purchased license. The license may not be shared with another legal organization unless expressly permitted in the purchased license terms. ACTIVATION AND LICENSE FILES A licensed copy of Lingobit Extractor may require activation. The license information is stored locally in an offline license file or similar local license data. Activation is initiated by the user. An activation request may be submitted through a Lingobit web form and may include a hardware key or similar device identifier, license information, and contact or order information required to issue the license file or activation response. Lingobit Extractor does not transmit source code, extracted strings, project files, or application content to Lingobit Technologies for activation. INTERNET CONNECTIONS AND UPDATE CHECKS Lingobit Extractor is designed to work with local project files. The software does not connect to the internet to transmit project content without a user action. The software may check whether a newer version is available. Such update checks may transmit technical information such as product name, product version, operating system version, and standard connection data handled by the web server. The update check does not transmit source code, extracted strings, project files, or application content. Crash reports are not currently submitted automatically by the software. UPDATES, SUPPORT, AND MAINTENANCE Unless expressly stated otherwise in the license terms purchased, each paid license includes one year of updates and standard support from the date of purchase. A perpetual license may continue to be used after the update and support period expires, according to this Agreement, but access to new updates, new major versions, and support after that period may require renewal, maintenance, or a new license. This Agreement does not guarantee that any particular future feature, update, version, platform support, online service, or third-party integration will be provided unless expressly stated in the purchased license terms. DISTRIBUTION This software may be distributed freely in its original, unmodified, and unregistered form. The distribution must include all files of its original distribution. Distributors may not charge any money for it. Anyone distributing this software for any kind of remuneration must first contact Lingobit Technologies for authorization. OTHER RESTRICTIONS You may not modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble this software in any way, including changing or removing any messages, notices, license checks, or windows, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE This product and its installer use third-party software components. The installed file THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt is the authoritative current index for redistributed third-party components in the shipped payload, and the ThirdPartyLicenses folder next to it contains detailed license texts and notices. Third-party components remain governed by their own license terms. Nothing in this Agreement grants rights to third-party components beyond the rights provided by the applicable third-party license terms and notices. If setup invokes Microsoft prerequisite installers such as the Visual C++ Redistributable or MSXML 6, those packages remain governed by Microsoft's own license terms. If setup installs Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, that Microsoft component also remains governed by Microsoft's own license terms and privacy terms. The WebView2 Runtime may collect diagnostic and usage data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement and may update automatically. WARRANTY AND DEFECTS The software is provided as standard software and is not developed for any specific individual use case unless expressly agreed in writing. Lingobit Technologies does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, compatible with every customer environment, or suitable for every particular purpose. The licensee is responsible for evaluating whether the software is suitable for the licensee's intended use before relying on it in production workflows. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law remain unaffected. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Nothing in this Agreement limits or excludes liability where liability cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or mandatory product liability. In cases of slight negligence, Lingobit Technologies is liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations. Essential contractual obligations are obligations whose fulfilment is necessary for the proper performance of this Agreement and on whose compliance the licensee may regularly rely. In such cases of slight negligence, liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damages. To the extent permitted by applicable law, aggregate liability for such slight negligence is further limited to the license fees paid for the affected license during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to liability. Lingobit Technologies is not liable for loss of data except to the extent the loss could not have been avoided by appropriate and regular data backups by the licensee. Where liability for data loss cannot be excluded, liability is limited to the typical restoration effort that would have been required if appropriate backups had been available. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by applicable law. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded or limited remain unaffected. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). If the licensee is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is Berlin, Germany, to the extent permitted by applicable law. If the licensee is a consumer, this choice of law and jurisdiction does not deprive the consumer of any mandatory consumer protection rights or mandatory jurisdiction rules that cannot be excluded under the law of the country where the consumer has their habitual residence. FINAL PROVISIONS If any provision of this Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be replaced by the applicable statutory rule. You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement, understand it, and agree to be bound by its terms.
