Lingobit Technologies, a leader in the software localization tools market, today announced the release of a new version of its flagship product, Lingobit Localizer. Lingobit Localizer is known for its software localization simplification of .NET (C#, VB.NET, Delphi.Net), MFC (Win32) and Java applications. In its updated version, Lingobit introduces groundbreaking features such as a full version control system, advanced reporting functionality and new tools that simplify the localization of forms and dialogs.
One of version 4.0's most significant improvements is its enhanced visual editing capability of dialogs and .NET forms. In its latest format, Lingobit Localizer now possesses an advanced editor functionality that rivals that of Visual Studio. Moreover, all that functionality is aimed at specific software localization tasks. In addition, Lingobit Localizer 4.0 introduces new localization validators that help determine errors in dialog localization.
One of Lingobit's early beta customers, Chris Norman of Etherscan Technologies, told the software localization leader that after his company decided to localize their application for the Middle-Eastern market, one of the problems they encountered was left-to-right scripting, with realignment of controls in every dialog being necessary. Armed with the new Lingobit Localizer functionality, however, this issue was resolved almost automatically, thereby saving Etherscan Technologies enormous amounts of time.
The report feature in Lingobit Localizer's latest version helps keep projects on time and on budget. With Lingobit Localizer 4.0's enhance capabilities, translators and project managers can track project progress and uncover bottlenecks before they occur.
Lingobit Localizer also now supports spellchecker in six major languages, including English, German and French. This spellchecking feature has been adapted specifically for software localization purposes, so it works correctly with format strings.
Lingobit Localizer 4.0 users can now find changes between two projects. Thanks to this add-on capability, Lingobit Localizer contains a complete version control system that enables users to control translators and see what they have changed in a project.
