- Germany: VAT-exempt under § 19(1) UStG.
- Other EU countries: Reverse charge applies to eligible B2B transactions.
- Outside the EU: Not subject to German VAT for B2B transactions. Local taxes may apply.

Command line and Translator Edition are included.
Professional and higher include command-line automation for your builds, with no separate automation license to buy. Every Localizer license includes Translator Edition, so translators work in the same visual context without buying Localizer.

Annual Maintenance: 10% per year
For licenses with active maintenance. Each year adds 12 months of updates and support, and you can pay for up to three years on one invoice. You can also renew up to 90 days after expiration; the new period then continues from your previous expiration date.

Use the maintenance expiration date of your license. For Localizer 9 and earlier it is 12 months after your last purchase of a license, upgrade, or maintenance. Not sure? Send your license key with the request and we will confirm it.

Maintenance reactivation: no charge for missed years
For licenses whose maintenance expired more than 90 days ago. Reactivation includes 12 months of updates and support from the purchase date; missed years are not charged.

Is Lingobit a subscription?
No. Licenses are perpetual. Annual Maintenance provides continued updates and support.
What happens after the included 12 months?
You can continue using the last licensed version. Renew Annual Maintenance for ongoing updates and support.
How do I get Localizer 10 with my current license?
If your maintenance was active on the Localizer 10 release date, Localizer 10 is included. If it expired up to 90 days ago, renew Annual Maintenance. Otherwise, reactivate maintenance: it includes Localizer 10 and 12 months of updates and support. Your current license stays valid.
Do I pay for the years without maintenance?
No. Reactivation includes 12 months of updates and support from the purchase date. Missed years are not charged.
How do I find my maintenance expiration date?
For Localizer 9 and earlier it is 12 months after your last purchase of a license, upgrade, or maintenance. If you are not sure, send your license key with the request and we will confirm it.
Can I pay for several years of maintenance at once?
Yes. A new license, renewal, or reactivation can include up to three years of updates and support on one invoice. Each additional year costs the Annual Maintenance price.
Which Localizer edition should I choose?
Standard covers the core localization workflow. Professional adds Translation Memory, Machine Translation integrations, pseudo-translation, command-line automation, and extended formats. Can I automate builds with Standard?
No. The Command Line License is included with Professional and higher; Standard users can upgrade. See command-line automation.
Do translators need a Localizer license?
No. Translator Edition is included with every Localizer license; available features follow the main license.
Do I need Extractor?
Use Extractor when hardcoded source strings need to move into resources. If the application is already ready for binary or resource localization, you may not need it.
Can I evaluate before purchase?
Yes. Localizer Trial is available for 90 days and Extractor Trial for 30 days. See the Download page.
